Meanwhile, the UN has expressed concern over the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Yemen as a result of the Saudi-led war on the country.
UN envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed says 21 million Yemenis are in dire need of humanitarian assistance. Sheikh Ahmed says 20 million people are also deprived of adequate drinking water. He says the Yemenis hope the Saudi-led war would halt and humanitarian supplies would flow to the country as soon as possible. Sheikh Ahmed says the UN believes that dialog among the Yemenis is crucial for ending the crisis. He says the Yemenis who are attending the current crisis talks in Geneva still need to reach agreements over several of their essential differences. Sheikh Ahmed says this will only occur as a result of talks among related Yemeni parties.
